BBAC COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Because the BBAC vision is faith based, our mandate also includes reaching out, regardless of religious affiliation, to those less fortunate in the San Antonio community and surrounding area. Therefore, a portion of BBAC’s annual budget will be set aside to provide retreat services at no charge to those unable to pay.
We see the BBAC retreat facility as a community asset to be used by those in need. We will target these funds at financially disadvantaged citizens and those with disabilities. We know of a number of community outreach organizations we will liaison with to reach these folks.
For example, we are aware of a non-profit organization, “Operation Comfort”, that works with our wounded marines and soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, and are receiving physical rehabilitation at Brooke Army Medical Center here in San Antonio. We will coordinate with organizations like “Operation Comfort” to provide a retreat getaway for the disabled individuals they serve.
All of the BBAC facilities will be constructed to provide accessibility for the physically disabled.
