As a nonprofit we get it done with volunteer participation. At BBAC there is plenty of opportunity to get involved. At the present time we are in the camp’s development stage so most of the opportunities are in the construction area.
Once we open however there will be opportunities for volunteers at day camps and overnight camps. These opportunities will be available in our adventure theaters like Horse Back Adventure Ride, Archery Adventure Theatre, Rock Climb Adventure Theatre and more.
Until that time the development and construction phase is ongoing. Pretty much every Saturday is a workday for volunteers to step up and get involved in bringing the vision to life (see scheduled dates below). Just contact us ahead of time so we know that you are coming and so we have your contact information in case weather causes us to cancel the workday.
Here are some specific work classifications we need over the next few months:
General Laborers – For brush clearing
Welders – For fence work and building projects
Carpenters – For framing
Concrete Workers – For foundations, driveways and walkways
Masons – To do rock work
Plumbers – To lay water line, dig and set up septic tanks and install general plumbing
Electricians – To set up exterior lighting and wire buildings
Heavy Equipment Operators - To work on clearing brush, pond and dam construction
